BREWER - Linda M. Miles, 67, died unexpectedly Jan. 3, 2010, at her home. She was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Portland, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Cox) Crone. Linda loved to laugh and be silly, and she loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was a kind, gentle, caring and giving person, and would have done anything for anyone without expecting anything in return. She also enjoyed cooking, fishing and playing pool. Linda was a lifelong resident of the Bangor area and had resided in Brewer for the past seven years. Surviving are four children, Shelly Mellott of Bangor, Eugene Caston of Bangor, Robert Caston of Belfast and Rhonda Murphy of Bangor; four grandchildren, Kristin Bobb, Michael Mellott, Mikayla Mitchell and Ashley Murphy; five great-grandchildren, Everett, Olivia, Gabriella, Carter and Katalynna; one sister, Jean Ann Greenlaw and her husband, Richard, of Windham; many nieces and nephews. A service honoring Linda's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Harvest Chapel, Route 222, Levant Village, with Pastor Stephen D. Hall and Pastor David O'Donnell, presiding. Burial will be at a later date at Riverview Memorial Cemetery, Cape Elizabeth.
