ARLINGTON - On Nov. 5, 2009, Linda Lee Pudvar Williams passed away to rest in peace. Linda was born on Jul. 15, 1946 in Adams, Mass. to Dorothy Rougeaux Pudvar and the late Richard Lee Pudvar. She was one of seven children. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Nicholas Williams of San Francisco, Calif., Alexandra Williams and Samantha Williams both of Bennington and Timothy Williams and wife, Gigi, of Leicester, children of Paul and Linda Williams (divorced); and seven granddaughters, Danika, Kayleigh, Abby, Anoushka, Hunter, Jholai and Talynn. Linda was admired as a caring and compassionate mother, sister, friend and devoted teacher of 30 years at Fisher Elementary School in Arlington. Linda has had a bright and vivid presence in this life and will be remembered for her many talents, her creativity and tireless enthusiasm. Linda lived in Arlington for the past 34 years. Linda is leaving her charming little house on Raspberry Hill where she enjoyed interior decorating, quilting, entertaining friends and family, lawn sale haggling, travel and cooking. She was a wonderful bundle of energy and will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. Linda received her early education in the Pownal schools and graduated from Bennington High School where she went onto Albany Junior College for Early Childhood. Linda earned her bachelor's in education from Southern Vermont College and her master's degree from Saint Joseph's College. Linda received the 2006 Most Outstanding Teacher Award from the University of Vermont. Survivors besides her children include her mother, Dorothy Pudvar of Bennington. Linda was lovingly cared for by her children and sister, Susan Dutton of New Hampshire; and brothers, John Pudvar of Vero Beach, Fla. and Robert Pudvar of Pownal, Vt. in her final moments of life. She was pre-deceased by her loving father Richard L. Pudvar. FUNERAL NOTICE: A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manchester Health Services Inc. through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
