SMITH Linda Larkin Smith pass ed away from complications of Esophageal Cancer on Friday, April 9th. She was born in Butler, PA on March 7, 1948 to John R. and Ruth Larkin. The family moved to Jacksonville in 1954 and Linda was educated in the Duval County public school system. Linda loved her profession as an Account Executive at Raymond James Securities. She participated in many community organizations - President of the former Jacksonville YWCA (Community Connections), Planned Parenthood of Northeast Florida, Leadership Jacksonville, and the Jacksonville Women's Network. She was Chair of the Resource Cabinet of the United Way and on the Board of Directors of the Women's Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Linda is survived by her parents, her husband Rob and son Bob; stepchildren Lisa Smith McDonald and Mercer Smith; sister Sally Hall and nephew Josh and his family; and granddaughters Chloe and Macey McDonald and Madelynn Smith. A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at the Jacksonville Public Library Auditorium at 3 PM Friday, April 16TH, with a reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art to follow.
