Linda L. SimmonsINTERLAKEN - Linda L. Simmons, 70, of Deerlick Springs Road and Spring Hill, Florida, died on Tuesday (May 22, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital from complications related to a ruptured brain aneurysm. Prayers of committal will be held at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus at 11 a.m. on Friday (June 8). A celebration of Linda's life will be hosted by her family at the Trumansburg Golf Course on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from Noon to 4 p.m., all friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, friends may remember Linda in the form of a memorial to the Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River Road, Waterloo, N.Y. 13165. Linda was born in Cuba, N.Y. on February 19, 1942, a daughter of the late James and Ruth (Sowersby) Jerolds. She graduated from nursing school in Buffalo in 1962, and had an extensive career, working at Willard Psychiatric Center, Lakeside Nursing Home and the Reconstruction Home, Charter Glades Psychiatric Center, and lastly at the Ruth Cooper Center in Ft. Myers, Fla.Linda is survived by her husband of 30 years, Andy; her children, Lisa (Eric Lee) Clauson, and Chris (Darlene) Clauson all of Dryden, and her step-children, Dawn (Greg "Hotsie") Getman of Ovid, Andy Simmons Jr. of Holly Pond Alabama, Tom Simmons of Ft.
