Linda Jean Kranyk nee: Martin, of formerly of Hearst The funeral service for former Hearst resident Linda Jean Martin Kranyak, 42, of Hamilton, Ont., was held Feb. 12, 2007 in Hearst. She died suddenly Feb. 2 at home. Born Oct. 5, 1964 in Hearst, she resided here until her early teens before moving to Thunder Bay and then Hamilton for treatments of her muscular disorder condition. A friendly person, she enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years. Predeceased by her infant son Robert Lee in 1983, she leaves her husband Mike Kranyak and son Jamie, both of Hamilton, mother Marguerite ‘Margo’ Martin of Hearst, sisters Carol (Dan) Guertin of Kapuskasing and Judy Martin of Whistler, B. C., and a brother Norman of Timmins. During the service, directed by Hearst Rev. Douglas Richardson at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral, a recorded eulogy by a Thunder Bay friend of Ms Kranyak was played. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
