Linda J. Miller BRIDGEWATER Linda Joyce Miller, 66, of State Route 8, passed away peacefully to be reunited with the love of her life, surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the Presbyterian Home for CNY in New Hartford, NY. She was born May 16, 1948, in Babylon, NY, a daughter of the late Hugh and Eleanor Everson McBurnie. She was a graduate of Lindenhurst High School in 1967 and received her LPN degree from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1984. On July 15, 1973, Linda married Joseph J. Miller in Lindenhurst, and they relocated to central New York in 1978. They had a loving union for over 31 years until Joseph predeceased her on June 3, 2005. Linda worked as an LPN at the Charles T. Sitrin Home in New Hartford, the Harding Nursing Home in Waterville, and the Masonic Care Community in Utica. She always cared a great deal for all the patients under her care. Linda was a loving and devoted wife and mother who was a phenomenal cook and loved to decorate her home for every holiday, especially Christmas. She enjoyed antiquing and going to garage sales. Surviving are her children, Sean P. Miller and Erin Wood, of Bridgewater, Joseph J. Miller, Jr., and his fiancee, Jennifer Beach, of Waterville, Dennis J. Miller, Adam L. Miller and Melissa, all of Bridgewater; and a daughter-in-law, Gale Miller of Ohio. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Breanna L. Miller, of Utica, Sierra A. Miller and Austin J. Miller, both of Waterville, and Dylan, Adam and Jenna Miller, all of Bridgewater. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014, from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel), 210 E. Main St., Waterville. Interment will be private at the convenience of her family. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Bridgewater Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
