MANCHESTER – Linda E. Ferris of Manchester passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at home. She was born July, 18, 1944, in Brockport, N.Y., the daughter of the late Hazel (Smith) Wiggin. She moved to New Hampshire with her mother, brother and sister at age 15. She relocated to California in the early 1960s with her partner, Dean Barnard, where she worked in electronics and real estate. She returned to New Hampshire in the 1970s and worked in procurement and sales positions at Centronics, MFE, Jaco, and other companies. Linda enjoyed her family, photography, motorcycles, traveling and sporty cars. She enjoyed writing, especially poetry and had several books of her poems published. Before an automobile accident 12 years ago, she enjoyed participating in several golf leagues, and many social service volunteer activities. She will be remembered as a good friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her sister Janice Vrakatitsis and her husband, Greg, of Epsom; neice Kerry Vrakatitsis and her husband, Thomas Kaneko, and grandneice Avery Kaneko of Lebanon; nephew Michael Vrakatitsis, and his wife, Aimee, of Watertown, Mass.; nieces Chris Seveins of Nashua and Lisa Seveins of Concord; and additional grandnieces and grandnephews. Also, stepson Gary Barnard and his wife, Margaret, and grandson Danny of Richmond, Va. She also leaves behind her best friend and companion Ellen Conroy of Manchester. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Hazel Wiggin, and stepfather, Ernest Wiggin, formerly of Chichester; and her brother, Russell Seveins, formerly of Pittsfield. A remembrance/memorial service will be held at Temple Adath Yeshurun, 153 Prospect St., Manchester, on June 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Temple Adath Yeshurun or the Jewish National Fund.
