Mrs. Linda Dianne Avery December 11, 1944 - September 13, 2008 - AVERY, Linda Dianne - 63, Halifax, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, with her family by her side. Born in Morristown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Beulah (Keddy) Harris. Besides being an avid card player and knitter, she loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters - the joy of her life. At these family gatherings, Linda would always cook and bake for all to enjoy. Cooking and baking was a particular pastime that she loved to share. She was employed for over 25 years with QEII Health Sciences Centre (Anatomical Pathology) as a medical secretary. Linda will always be remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by son, William (Julie); daughter, Carol, all of Halifax; grandchildren, Rachel and Claire; brothers, Glendon (Diane), Brian (Linda), Richard, Arthur; sisters, Valerie (Robert) Wilson, Kathryn (Wayne) Tupper, all of Morristown; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 35 years, Cecil "Bill", and sister, Barbara Joudrey. A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday, September 18, in Bedford United Church, Rev. Gerald Burke and Rev. David Hart officiating, with a reception to follow. Private family committal will take place at a later date.
