SOUTHINGTON- Linda C. Johnson, 57, of 35 Rivercrest Dr., Plantsville, formerly of Meriden, wife of Irving Johnson, died on March 22, 2007, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Putnam, on May 1, 1949, she was the daughter of Albert and Clara Cloutier. She had resided in Meriden for over 30 years and graduated from Killingly High School in Danielson. Mrs. Johnson was employed by Northeast Utilities for 12 years and the Meriden Public School System for the last 10 years as a speech para-professional. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Linda was a devoted wife and mother. She took great pride in watching her five children grow to be young adults. Family always came first. Linda was also extremely committed to her community. She volunteered as a girl scout leader for many years at Roger Sherman School. She was an active member of St. Rose Church where she served as president of the Women's Group, Eucharistic Minister, and a volunteer at bingo. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Laura and her husband, Ashley, Sarah, and Allyson; two sons, Paul and Charlie; two brothers, Gerry and his wife, Courtney and Roger and his wife, Gail. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, March 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Community Center, 34 Center St., Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the John J.
