Linda-Barbara Anderson-Cosyn, born in 1960, spouse of John Cosyn, died on September 13, 2007. Please consult the obituary here:
Anderson-Cosyn , Linda Barbara , of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007. Born Linda Louise Vargas on July 1, 1960 in Miami, Florida, she lived with foster families until being adopted by Barbara and Charles Anderson of Hollywood, Florida in 1965. Linda attended Nativity Parochial School in Hollywood and graduated from Hollywood Hills High School in 1978. After graduation, Linda moved to Brevard County, Florida, where she later worked for nine years for EG&G Florida at the Kennedy Space Center. At KSC she met her future husband, John Cosyn, and they were married in 1994. The couple resided in North Lauderdale, Florida until their divorce in 1997. After about a year apart, Linda and John reunited and lived together in Hollywood, Florida. In 2004, they remarried in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in 2005 they moved to Pompano Beach. After leaving the job she loved at Kennedy Space Center to move to south Florida, Linda became a caregiver for the elderly, and assisted many people she came to know as friends. She enjoyed helping others until she became too weak to continue this care. In January of 2006, Linda suffered a stroke. Although she regained some strength and independence through physical therapy and the help of loved ones, Linda was confined to a wheelchair after the stroke. She was a beautiful woman both before and after her disability. Her smile changed into a crooked smile, but it was still pretty. Her body got weak, but her eyes still sparkled. She kept a sharp mind and quick wit even in her difficult last days. She passed peacefully at home, like Joe Pesci's character in her favorite movie, "With Honors". The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16, 1:00-3:00 at Forest Lawn, 200 W. Copans Rd., Pompano Beach, and Tuesday, September 18, 1:00-3:00 at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. US Hwy. #1, Rockledge, FL, where funeral services will be held at 3:00. We thank Hospice for their help, and suggest mourners send donations to Hospice Care of Southeast Florida, 309 SE 18 Street, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316.
