She graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1978 and worked for a number of years as an optical technician. She married her best friend, Rick Smith, and raised their family in West Melbourne. She enjoyed her time with her family, girl luncheons, entertaining, camping, swimming, reading, bible studies, and would light up every room she entered.Linda fought a courageous battle against breast cancer for 8 years with a beautiful smile and great attitude. She never showed her pain and suffering as she cared more about others than herself. Her home was always open and warm. She will be greatly missed by all.She was preceded in death by her father Larry Ashline, and step-son Shaun.She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Rick; children Laura, Kyle and Alex; mother Barbara; siblings Diane (Roy), Mike (Diane), Terri (Steve), Craig (Kim) and Tommy (Jill); grandchildren Tyra and Junior, as well as numerous other family members and many cherished friends.Her service will be at Calvary Chapel in West Melbourne tomorrow at 11 am.
