Obituary of Linda-Anne Cooper

Linda Anne Cooper, 52 WOOLWICH -- Linda (Linny) Cooper passed away suddenly on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Mid Coast Hospital. Linda was born in Portland on Oct. 20, 1956, to Lois and Leon MacVane. She volunteered her time at the Sweetser home and the Career Center in Bath helping others through tough times by just being there with a smile on her face. Linda recently got a governor's award for volunteering. Some of Linda's hobbies included gardening, traveling to Vermont, canoeing and especially enjoyed going to the ocean. Certainly Linda's family, friends, and caregivers will miss her fabulous and very entertaining stories about her daily life. She always had a way to make us laugh. Linda is survived by her husband Fred Cooper; and her two children, Dale Mougalian and Melissa Mougalian Smith. She also had a step-son Carmen Cooper; two sisters, Audria Perez and Valerie Barrett; and four grandchildren Riley, Curtis, Gavin and Mollie. She was predeceased by her brother Scott MacVane; as well as her mother and father. There will be a gathering in her honor on Friday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m., at Dale's home located at 38 Day Rd., in Gorham. On-line condolences may be placed at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
