Linda Ann Smith, 71, died March 12, 2009, at Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart. She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and lived in Palm City for 35 years, coming from Cadiz, Ohio. Before retirement, she was transportation department secretary for the Martin County School System. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart. Survivors include her daughters, Lori McNicholas of Stuart and Kathy Best of Nacogdoches, Texas; son, Keith Kollar of New York; brother, Jim Kugler of Powell, Ohio; sisters, Pegi Sable of Cadiz, Ohio, and Marty Neese of Mount Vernon, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
