NASSAU, N.Y. Linda A. Baker, 52, passed from this world on Sunday, March 26, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Oakland, Calif., she was the beloved daughter of Donald W. and Mary Flint Baker of Glenmont, N.Y. She was a court stenographer and worked for many years in the Albany Police Court. Linda was a noted local musician, playing Irish and Appalachian music. She enjoyed music festivals, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was the beloved mother of Alexander Davis of Nassau; dear sister of Diane Harris (Karl) of Loudonville and the late Donald W. Baker Jr.; aunt of Hannah and Leah Harris; paternal granddaughter of Lillian Baker and the late Daniel Baker; maternal granddaughter of the late Alverty and Ida Flint; several aunts, uncles and cousins survive Linda. Funeral services Thursday at 12:00 from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
