Lina MontgomeryMrs. Lina Haataja Montgomery, 99, a resident of Florence, passed away July 24, 2011, at her residence. She was a member of Johnson Crossroads Baptist Church and a homemaker.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenview Funeral Home, with the service beginning at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Emerald Bailey. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Cemetery.Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Montgomery; son, Earl Montgomery; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer and Iver Haataja; two sisters, Helia Balentine and Annie May.She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Whitten, of Florence, Bernell Holt (Billy), of Clyde, Ohio, Hazel Bevis; sons, Billy Montgomery (Kay), David Montgomery (Ophelia), all of Florence; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 42 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.An online guest book may be viewed and signed via greenviewmemorial.comArrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.
