Lily Bell Carter, 78, died April 16, 2011, in Fort Pierce. She was born in Cornwell and moved to Fort Pierce in 1954, coming from Okeechobee. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Robinson and Debbie Carter, both of Fort Pierce, and Tricia Lamb of Cullman, Ala.; sons, Herbert Carter of Sardis, Tenn. and Malcolm Carter of Cullman; sister, Dorothy Douglas of Okeechobee; brothers, Billy Johnson of Sardis, Tenn., Jake Johnson of Okeechobee, and Phillip Johnson of Fort Pierce; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Services: Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. April 19, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
