Mrs. Lillie Mildred Davis, 57, formerly of Chester, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the chapel of King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester, with the Rev. Ronald McClurkin officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Born in Chester County on Jan. 2, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Miller Jackson Sr. and Edna Strong Caldwell. She joined Old Wilson Baptist Church at an early age, attended the public schools of Chester County and was formerly employed by Springs Industries. She was preceded in death by one brother, Miller Jackson Jr. Survivors are one son, Michael Jackson of Charlotte; three sisters, Florence (Rev. Ronald) McClurkin of Chester, Elaine Osei of Charlotte and Gloria Jean Lane of Atlanta; three brothers, Carlthel Jackson of Chester, David Strong of Charlotte and Anthony Bernard Caldwell of Columbia; three grandchildren; five aunts; three uncles; a devoted niece, Porsha Coleman of Rock Hill; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the home of Florence and Rev. Ronald McClurkin, 127 Carr St., Chester. King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester, is in charge of arrangements.
