Funeral services for Lillie Mae Walker 88 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 14 2003 from the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery Mrs. Walker died Sunday October 12 2003 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was a native of Madison County and the daughter of the late William Franklin and Mary Helen Harris Johnson and was educated in the county schools. Mrs. Walker was a retired employee of the Bemis Cotton Mill with 45 years service and attended Bemis Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters Lottie Milam Thelma Bedat Daisy Glenn Dallas Halstead and Willie Belle Murchison. Survivors include a son Wayne Walker of Jackson; four grandchildren Chris Walker Teresa Walker Patricia Landers and Jennifer Walker Welch; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers to serve are Chris Walker Justin Sanders Ryan Landers Kyle Jones Jacob Walker David Mays and Tony Landers. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. today at the funeral home. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home 731-424-2424
