CARTER, LILLIE MAE PURVIS, 93, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2006. She was born April 24, 1913 in Larue County, KY. She was a Member of Fourth Avenue Methodist Church. She was employed by the former Oscar Ewing Dairy for 40 years, as an accountant and Payroll Clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Carter; her brother, James Milton Purvis; a sister, Virgie Lee Purvis; and her parents, Henry J. and Charlotte Purvis. She is survived by three sisters, Catherine Hazle and Ailene Elliott of Louisville, and Mary Price of Hodgenville, KY; and several nieces and nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews. Her funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday.
