Morris, Lillie MaeJan. 5, 1939 - May 16, 2009Lillie Mae Morris, 70, passed away May 16, 2009. Ms. Morris was born Jan. 5, 1939, in New Africa, Miss., to the late Earl and Flossie Johnson. She moved to Sarasota in 1956, where she worked and raised her family. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ailneal Morris of Tallahassee, Frederick Morris and wife Geraldine of Chesapeake, Va., and Patrick Morris of Sarasota; daughters Brenda Morris of Sarasota, Regina Morris and husband John Annis of Bradenton; brother Earnest Johnson of Bradenton; sister Herdacine Kemp of Duncan, Miss.; grandsons Daniel Morris, Johnathan Morris, Anthony Annis and Michael Morris; granddaughters, Jana Morris, Alicia Morris and Gabrielle Holt; great-grandson Xander Jacobson; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chandler's Funeral Chapel in Sarasota. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chandler's Funeral Chapel.Memorial donations may be made to All Faiths Food Bank.
