Obituary of Lillie-Mae Mitchell

Lillie Mae Mitchell, 73, Bradenton, died Sept. 22, 2002. She was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Caldwell, Ga., and came to Manatee County in 1970 from Tampa. She retired as a nurse's aide. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Willie of Georgia; daughters Ethel Pressley, Arlene Porter and Denise White, all of Bradenton; sons Willie Bass of Tampa and Charles Miller and Darryel White, both of Bradenton; a sister, Bertha Walker of Bradenton; a brother, Isdor Miller of Caldwell; 31 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riggins and Daughter Funeral Home in Bradenton. The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ward Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church in Bradenton. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto.
