Lillie Mae "Sing" James Lillie Mae "Sing" James, 96, a homemaker, died Thursday, September 13, 2007, in Quincy, Fla. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday, September 20, at New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Havana, Fla., with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Madry Memorial Funeral Chapel, Quincy (850-875-2665).She was a native of Leon County and attended public school there. She was a lifelong resident of Havana, a very faithful member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, where she was an usher, member of the Mothers' Board, church secretary and past president of the choir. She was joined in holy matrimony to Johnnie James, and they were blessed with two children.Survivors include son, Horace James (Nora) of Havana; daughter, Nettie M. Hadley (Bert) of Tallahassee; sister, Annie B. Gardner of East Orange, N.J.; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-great-grandchild; parents; sisters; brothers; and other relatives.
