Lillie Mae Hall, age 69, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Oct. 1, 2009, in a house fire. She was a native of Alabama, and a longtime resident of Fort Walton Beach, where she was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. S.L. Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery. The remains will lie in repose at the church from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Survivors include her children, Sampie Hall Jr., Stephen Hall (Faye), Loretta James, Rickey Hall (Treena) all of Fort Walton Beach, Greg Hall (Renae) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Gwendolyn Berkwitt of Fort Washington, Md., and Terrin Matthews (Gregory) of Crestview, Fla.; mother, Fannie Hartley of Florala, Ala.; sisters and brothers, Anna King of Fort Walton Beach, Charles Hartley (Shirley), Paul Hartley of Crestview, Roger Hartley (Bee) of Charlotte, N.C., Mary Scott of Rome, Ga., Evelyn Anthony (Bernard) of Florala, Ala., and Hillary King; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Flowers will be accepted at the church beginning at 8 a.m. Friday. If anyone would like to make a donation to the family, in lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at any BBVA Compass Bank. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Fla.
