Obituary of Lillie-Mae-Adams Bell


BELL, LILLIE MAE ADAMS, Funeral services for Lillie Mae Adams Bell, 91, will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., South, Jacksonville, FL. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Mrs. Bell died Wednesday, June 11, 2003 in Jacksonville. She was born July 24, 1911 in Rockhill, SC and was the daughter of Andrew Binum Adams and Addie Adams. She moved to Charleston, SC and lived for 18 years. She moved to Jacksonville and lived 14 years where she was a very active member of First Baptist Church, then her job transferred her to Orlando, FL, where she lived for 35 years and was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Orlando. Mrs. Bell then moved back to Jacksonville 7 years ago to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Bell; her oldest daughter, Leila Adams Hall; her brother, J. W. Adams; two sisters, Ruth Patrick and Dorothy Smyre. She is survived by two daughters, Inez Adams NeSmith (Weaver) of Jacksonville and Juanita Adams Kriel (Joe) of Michigan; her sister, Gladys Patrick of North Charleston, SC; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
