Lillie was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Davis was well loved by her family and friends. She loved to raise chickens, turkeys and peacocks along with many other animals. Mrs. Davis could never rest too long as she had to have her hands in something. She will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Buck" Davis, mother, Ruby Davis and father, Clarence Henry Davis, Sr.; stepmother, Laverne Chaver; two sons, Roger Dale Gill, James Gill; daughter Shirley Hastings; brother, C. H. Kemp Davis, Jr.. Lillie is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Ray) Wood, Susan Tina Wood; two sons, Edward (Cheryl) Gill, Jimmy (Sophia) Davis; two special grandchildren, Wendy and Jamie and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lois (Larry) Price and special best friend Delores McCaskill and other family members, Henry and Helen Davis, Marie Carr, Jackie, Buddy Meredith. Visitation will be on Wed., April 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Thur., April 3, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
