Lillian White, 90, Ormond Beach, passed away August 15, 2008. She was born November 30, 1918, and was a member of Saint Brendan Catholic Church and was a former member of Oceanside Country Club where she was President of the Women's Golf Association. She enjoyed golf, painting,gardening, canning jams and fig preserves and helping neighbors. In Saugus, Mass., she drove for the Red Cross. For more than 20 years, she delivered Meals on Wheels with occasional help from neighbors. She worked forGeneral Electric and World Color. She was married to William Thompson and Steve White, both deceased. She is survived by her son, William Thompson Jr.; her nieces, Ginger and June; and her nephew, Andy. Lillian's twin sister, Beatrice, is deceased, as well as her other sisters, Anita andEldona. Lillian will be missed by the many people she knew who helped and loved her. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
