Lillian Watson Mitchell, 92, widow of Erskine W. Mitchell, formerly of 9 Peachtree St., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at Laurens County Hospital. Survivors: Daughters, Fay Meadors of Clinton, Joyce Blank of North Augusta, and Margaret Gwinn of Squaw Valley, Calif.; sisters, Adele Ayers and Alayne Taylor; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Predeceased: A daughter, Katherine Patterson; and parents, Henry Samuel and Viola Alexander Watson. Visitation: 7 to 8 tonight at Gray Funeral Home, Clinton.
