Lillian Oxner Owens, age 77, of 23278 Highway 121 and widower of Major Allen Owens died Friday, July 12, at her home. She was born in Whitmire and was the daughter of the late Thomas Daniel and Mollie Baker Oxner. Mrs. Owens was retired from J. P. Stevens Co., Whitmire Plant. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine O. Gault of Whitmire; four sons, Allen Owens, Randy Owens, Sr., Boyd Owens and Ray Owens all of Whitmire; a nephew raised in the home, Donnie Owens of Clinton; a grandson raised in the home, Randy Owens, Jr. of Chapin; five grandchildren, Jonathon Owens, Julie Gault, Jessica Owens, Kyle Owens, Megan Owens all of Whitmire. Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. in the Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home. - Gray Funeral Home of Whitmire.
