Lillian Evlyn Bradley Owens, 91, of Greer, departed this life at home and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. She was a retired minister in the Church of God of Prophecy and also served as an evangelist within the church. She was born January 4, 1918 in Lee County, Miss. to S.F. and Sarah Montgomery, now deceased.Ms. Owens is survived by her children: Wilma Weathers and husband Olin, Norman Bradley, and Linda Whittaker and husband Ken; one grandson: Kevin Weathers and wife, Beverly, all of Greer; and one sister: Beatrice Hood of Fulton, Miss.She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Thomas W. Bradley; one daughter: Hilda Mitchell; three sisters: Effie Green, Edith Hall and Leola Ratliff; and one brother: Loren Montgomery.She was also predeceased by her second husband: Edgar Owens of Johnston City, Ill.; and seven of his children. She is survived by two of his children: Velma Burnett of Johnston City, Ill. and Charles Owens of Marion, Ill.; and several of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at the Greer Church of God of Prophecy at 2416 N. Hwy 14 with Pastor Paul E. Johnson and Pastor Aaron Clardy officiating.
