BRATTLEBORO -- Lillian Margaret White, 88, of Linden Street, died Saturday morning, Feb. 10, 2007, at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.Mrs. White was born in North Adams, Mass., on Dec. 14, 1918, the daughter of Ralph and Lillian (Bailey) Roseberry.She was raised and educated in North Adams attending St. Joseph's Parochial School and was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School, Class of 1937. She went on to attend Drury High School in North Adams where she took one year of post graduate studies.Mrs. White had been employed at the Holstein-Friesian Association from February 1947 until April 1986 retiring after 37 years of faithful and dedicated service with the company. Previously, she had worked as a bookkeeper for the former Ensign & Smith Heating Oil Co., in North Adams.She was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro and was a former member of the Brattleboro Women's Evening Club.Active civically, she was a volunteer at Brooks Memorial Library, at the Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center, the Brattleboro Senior Center and was a American Red Cross volunteer working at the monthly blood drawings at the Elks Home in Brattleboro.Mrs. White enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, boating and swimming.She is survived by two second cousins, Carol Wellman of White River Junction and John Bolner of Readsboro and her close friend of many years, Louisa Frechette of Brattleboro.Graveside committal rites will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's parish cemetery.
