LEE, Lillian Lorraine November 27, 1922 March 18, 2012 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Lorraine Lee, who died suddenly and peacefully on March 18 in Victoria. Lily was born in Vancouver on November 27, 1922, the third of seven children. She was educated in the Vancouver school system, graduating from Grandview High School in Commerce. She met her husband, Jack through mutual friends and married in 1946. After raising three children, she began working at the Chinese Village Restaurant, a family business. Many will remember her smiling face and warm welcome at the front desk for over thirty years and she worked up to the final day in 1998. She enjoyed her retirement years relaxing, visiting with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with Jack until his passing in August 2011. In late 2011, Lily moved into Parkwood Court, where she made many friends with fellow residents and staff. She was revitalized in her new home, and enjoyed going out for a monthly lunch with her old friends. Lily is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Eugene); her sons Randy (Leslie) and Robert (Karina); eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. At her request, a private family service was held. A Celebration of Lily's Life will be held at Uplands Golf Club, 3300 Cadboro Bay Road, on Saturday, April 21st from 2 pm to 4 pm. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Victoria Hospitals Foundation. Thank you to all the staff at Parkwood Court for their loving care.
