->Jackson, LillianOwego: Lillian H. "Lee" Jackson, born on February 18, 1925, of Owego, New York, went to join her Lord on Monday, October 08, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence "Larry" Jackson; her parents, John and Dorothy Dixon; her step-mother Mona Dixon; her two brothers, Johnny and Edward; her five sisters, Dorothy, Priscilla, Barbara, Virginia, and Diane; and her grandson Daniel Jackson. She is survived by her children: Lenny and his wife Nancy, Karen and her husband Mark Jerzak, David and his wife Linda, Bruce and his wife Kelly, Michael and his wife Patricia, John and his wife Len; her daughter-in-law Nancy (Ferguson) Hurley; and her grandchildren: Joanne, Heather, Melissa, Andy, Bryan, Christopher, Nick, Pamela, Adam, Kimberly, Rachel, Asia and Sean; and her great grandchildren: Devan, Liam, Jackson, Joel, and Lyric (and 2 more on the way). Lee was born and raised in Boston, MA. She lost her mother at a very young age. Being the eldest of her siblings, Lee helped raise her younger brothers and sisters. Lee loved life and especially her family. She was a devoted mother and she also worked for years at the Owego IBM Cafeteria. She loved to laugh, sing and dance. She was a steadfast member of St. Patrick's Church in Owego, and later of St. James Church in Stuart, FL. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and was always ready to help anyone in need. She was beautiful on the inside and the out. She was a kind and friendly soul, but could also be fiercely protective of her family or anyone who couldn't defend themselves. Mostly, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and great-grandmother. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Estey, Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Stuart, FL. She will be buried next to her loving husband at the Forest Pines Memorial Home in Palm City, FL. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to donate to the Tioga County Rural Ministry or perform an act of kindness for someone in need. Condolences may be made to the family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
