Obituary of Lillian Jackson


Lillian "Sis" Jackson, of 130 Woodland Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, in the Greenville Memorial Hospital. A daughter of the late John Henderson and Mae Lee Madden Henderson, she was member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Simpsonville Mills. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Jackson Sr. of the home; a son, J.W. Jackson Jr. of Fountain Inn; two daughters, Dianne Turner of Mauldin and Queen (Earnest) Lloyd of Fountain Inn; seven brothers, Ezell Henderson of New Jersey, Calvin Henderson of Maryland, Adgie (Shirley) Henderson of Fayetteville, N.C., Stanley (Tracy) Henderson, Willie (Elaine) Henderson, Steve (Annie) Henderson of Mauldin, and Ken Henderson of Simpsonville; six sisters, Inell Walls, Mamie Sue DeJesus of Washington, D.C., Catherine (Eugene) Smith of Newark, N.J., Cornelia Stenhouse, Brenda Henderson of Fountain Inn, and Hattie Harris of Simpsonville; stepmother, Lula Mae Henderson of Fountain Inn; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Mount Zion Baptist Church, Fountain Inn, with the Rev. S.N. Madden and the Rev. S.B. Neely officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
