->NORTH ANSON -- Lillian G. Jackson, 98, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan. She was born on April 20, 1908, in Brockton, Mass., the daughter of Louis and Cora F. (Smith) Hill.Lillian graduated from Middleboro High School, then went on to Bates College where she graduated in 1930. She married Kenneth L. Jackson, who died on April 9, 1953. She began teaching with her first employment at Central School in New Portland. As a secondary school teacher, she taught for 30 years at schools in Buckfield, Scarborough, Hollis, and Bonny Eagle.Lillian gave piano lessons and played the organ at both the North New Portland Church and the North Anson Congregational Church until she was 91.She is survived by three children, Margaret Stone of Lafayette, Tenn., Barbara Vivian and her husband, David, of Miami, Fla., Ken Jackson II and his wife, Lisa, of Windham; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison, and 12-2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at the North New Portland Church. A funeral service will follow visitation at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15 at the North New Portland Church.
