Lillian Freeman Johnson, 95, Punta Gorda, died Aug. 25, 2005, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center. She was born July 21, 1910, in Atlanta and came to Punta Gorda in 1989 from Decatur, Ga. She was the oldest living member of the historic Martha Brown United Methodist Church in Atlanta, where she was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Women's Association. Survivors include daughters Ann K. Gateff and Betty Middleton, both of Punta Gorda; a brother, David E. Freeman of Sun City Center; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 22 at First United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda, and in Atlanta at Martha Brown United Methodist Church, with the date to be announced. Private burial will be in Atlanta. Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to United Methodist Children's Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030; or to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
