Obituary of Lillian-D. Johnson


RENSSELAER Lillian Drost Johnson, 83, of Lakeshore Drive, passed on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Lavina (Salisbury) Drost. She was the wife of 58 years of the late Guy F. Johnson Sr. who died in 1998. Lillian lived for her family. She was kind, generous and always there for others. Constantly giving all that she could, she loved to shop! She loved to play cards with her family, watch a good Yankees game, and take lots of pictures. As the heart of our family, she will be missed dearly Survivors include her sons, Guy F Jr. of East Greenbush, Edward C. of Clifton Park, Larry E. of East Greenbush and Ronald W. of Rensselaer; sisters, Lavina Miller and Bertha Finkle, both of Schodack; brother, Walter (Jane) Drost of Schodack Landing; sisters-in-law, Marge Johnson of Schodack Landing, Marie Van Ort of Defreestville, Lila Johnson of Renton, Wash. and Beth Gardiner of Schodack. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, John Drost, William Drost, Marion Sprackland and Jennie Southwick. Funeral services Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, NY. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-8 at the funeral home. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Castleton, N.Y.
