CARTER, LillianAge 87, passed away May 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Harvell; her beloved husband, Vernon Carter, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sammons; granddaughter, Kimberly Sammons; two great grandchildren, Madison and Alex Wissert, all of Nashville, TN; sisters, Katherine DeBerry (Gordon), Gallatin, TN, Johnnie Cofer (Joe), Bolivar, TN; nieces, Manon Stephenson, Nashville, Jeannie Boldt, Waukesha, WI; nephews, Ron DeBerry, Gallatin and Ricky Cofer, Altus, OK. She and her husband owned and operated Carter's Liberty Super Market in Bolivar, TN for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and will be deeply missed.
