Obituary of Lillian-Bishop White

Lillian Bishop White PENSACOLA - Lillian Bishop White, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. EST Sunday at Roseland Cemetery in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Monticello, 395 Palmer Mill Road, Monticello, FL 32344; the Monticello Opera House, 185 W. Washington St., Monticello, FL 32344; or the Jefferson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 559, Monticello, FL 32345.Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola (850-478-3292) is handling arrangements. Lillian was a homemaker, a former merchant and retired as a clerk for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in Tallahassee. Lillian was born in Monticello on Dec. 25, 1917, the daughter of the late Eugene Bishop and his wife, Thelma Clark Bishop Walker.She was the third generation and last survivor of the George Choice Bishop family of Monticello and had attended Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee. She is survived by a son, Eugene White of Pensacola. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, William White, who was from Monticello.
