Lillian A. Williams (nee Erhardt), 88, of Upper Deerfield Township went home to be with her Lord on Sunday morning January 5, 2014 where she is now looking down on her family. The wife of John J. "Jack" Williams Jr., she was born in Camden and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma Cordelia Bastine Erhardt. Mrs. Williams lived at her current home for 22 years and prior to that lived in Shiloh. Before moving to the Bridgeton area, she lived in Watkins Glen, NY and also in Kirkwood, NJ. Soon after high school, she worked at the former RCA Company in Camden. She also was a secretary at Sterling High School and later served at a bookkeeper at Dougherty's Furniture in Berlin. An active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeton, Mrs. Williams was a deacon and was also active with the "TOTs" (Time Out Tuesday) group. She was a former member of the Seven Oaks club in Bridgeton and for 18 years, she and her husband were volunteers with the Cumberland County Office on Aging "Meals on Wheels" program. In addition, she enjoyed quilting and crocheting and provided a homemade quilt to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting nursing homes and sending cards to family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Ross and her husband, Joseph Jr., one son, Jeffrey J. Williams and his wife Barbara of Cape Cod, MA, six grandchildren, Joshua Ross (Karen), Joseph Ross III (Alicia), Katherine "Katie" Ross, Benjamin Ross, Sarah Bohaboy (Doug) and Erinn Locaria (Dismas), five great grandchildren, Mary Ross, Paige and Sadie Bohaboy and Gibson, Grayson and Mason Locaria and one sister, Laura Steelman in Florida. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the First Presbyterian Church, W. Commerce and Giles Sts., Bridgeton on Saturday January 11th at 11 o'clock where friends will be received from 10 until 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Memorial Fund of the First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
