Services for Lewis Donald Taylor, 85, of Tyler, Texas, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2006, in the chapel of Marvin United Methodist Church with Dr. John C. Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor died on Monday, November 6, 2006, in Winona. Mr. Taylor was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who brought joy to all of his family. He was born on August 5, 1921, in Cape Fair, Missouri, to the late Lewis F. and Florence Jones Taylor. He was a native of the Springfield, Missouri, area and was a member of Brentwood Christian Church. He had recently moved to Tyler, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Glenda Taylor of Tyler; daughters, Teresa Carney of Tyler, Janice Navran of Overland Park, Kansas, and Connie Eberhart of Omaha, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Justin Carney, Shawn Carney, Joshua Carney, Alexander Navran, Phillip Eberhart and Robert Carney. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
