Lettie Mae Nelson, age 91, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., passed away March 5, 2008.She was born on March 11, 1916, in Gaskin, Fla., to Walton W. Davis and Eva Adkinson Owen. Mrs. Nelson was a lifelong resident of Walton County and Baptist by faith. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, Walton Davis and Eva Adkinson Owen; and husband, Clary Nelson.She is survived by her two sons, Robert C. Chandler and wife Fran of Shreveport, La., and Gary E. Nelson and wife Brenda of DeFuniak Springs; two daughters, Carol Chandler Cosson and husband Wiley of DeFuniak Springs, and Joyce Nelson Martin and husband Kevin of Marshall, Mo. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael Chandler and wife Donna of Texas, Danna Chandler Matt of Tallahassee, Fla., Monika Cosson Sheppard and husband Chris of Santa Fe, N.M., Nicholas Nelson and wife Terri of Tallahassee, Jeremy Nelson of Tallahassee, and Ryan Martin and wife Alana of Marshall, Mo., and Iraq; six great-grandchildren, Carrie, Brian, Middy, Jana, Jackson and Parker; two step-grandchildren, Twyla Hall and husband Adrian, and Ashley Cosson and wife Sherri; and five step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Paige Hall, Emily Hall, Faith Hall and Tom Cosson.Visitation services will be conducted from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, 230 Park Ave., DeFuniak Springs.Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phil McMillian officiating.
