Leslie Ann Jennings, 60, passed away on May 13, 2013 at her home in Shelburne Falls after a long illness. Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Halifax, on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 9 a.m, followed by a private burial in Weymouth. Leslie was born in Weymouth, and graduated from Quincy High School and University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She worked as a RN in many area hospitals and as a private nurse. For many years, Leslie was a teacher of meditation at the Vipassana Meditation Center in Shelburne. In her work with the Meditation Center, Leslie traveled throughout the country and Asia teaching meditation and touching many lives. Leslie is preceded in death by her parents, John Jennings and Agnes Weetman Jennings, her sister, Kathleen Stephens, and brother, John Jennings. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Richard Jennings, and Phillip Jennings, her sisters, Barbara Jennings and Jean Jennings, and her nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the members of the Vipassana Medition Center of Shelburne, for their support in Leslies final days.
