Obituary of Leroy Parker


PARKER-LeRoy. Formerly of NY, on October 19, 2004 in Ashland, KY, longtime friend of George Bishop. LeRoy had an extensive and brilliant career as a tenor soloist. As a teenager, LeRoy was a winner on the Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour. He sang at various churches in the NY area including the Riverside Church, Norman Vincent Peale's Marble Collegiate Church and St. James Episcopal Church where he served for 29 years as tenor soloist. Reposing at Triboro Funeral Home, 106-22 Northern Blvd, Corona, NY, Saturday, October 23, 6 pm to 9 pm. Reposing at St. James Episcopal Church, 84-07 Bway, Elmhurst, NY, Sunday, October 24, 6 pm to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 25, at 10 am, at St. James Episcopal Church. Interment immediately following at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens, NY.
