GILLARD, Leonard On November 17th, 2002 Leonard Gillard of Edmonton, in his 65th year, died peacefully while surrounded by the loving presence and prayers of family members near and far. Predeceased by his parents Edison and Agnes Gillard and by his brother Ray Gillard. Left to celebrate his life and cherish his memory are his siblings Sidney Gillard and his wife Gloria of Edmonton and Irene Schurter and her husband Gerry of Hamilton, Ontario; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Hinton, Dr. Leicht, Rob Scott and the many others who supported him where he resided. A special thank you to the staff at the U of A Hospital, most especially nurses Cindy Lou, Tanya, Hayley and the others who cared for him in the same kind and gentle fashion. At Leonard's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held in the Chapel at McDougall United Church (10025-101 St.) at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27.
