Leola Smith, 72, Tallevast, died May 24, 2003. She was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Bradenton and was a lifetime resident. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bryant Chapel C.M.E. Church. Survivors include daughters Janice Bryant of Bradenton, and Deidre and Cheryl, both of Tallevast; sons Bruce Bryant of Tallevast, Errol Darville and Walter Bryant III, both of Sarasota, and Norris Bryant, Steve Bryant, Dennis and Marvin, all of Bradenton; sisters Ruth Bryant of Tallevast and Juanita Pinkney of Sarasota; a brother, Robert of Tallevast; 30 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bryant Chapel, C.M.E. Church. A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park. Jones Funeral Home is in charge.
