ST. DENIS, Leo - In loving memory. The family announces with sorrow his passing at St. Joseph's Villa, in his 92nd year, surrounded by his loving family, on January 19, 2007, after a short illness. He leaves behind him is wife Helen (Muldoon), his “Sweet Pea“ of 64 years. Father of Darlene (husband Raymond Langlois) of Espanola, Arthur John (wife Terry) of Sudbury, Marie Church of Sudbury, Lynn (Dwyer Briand) of Sudbury and Joanne (Barry Jones) of Toronto. He is dearly loved by his 11 grandchildren Michael, Gregg, Jon, Ned, Catherine, Sarah, David, Andrew, Michael, Brennan, Blaire, and six great-grandchildren Alexandra, Lauren, Connor, Andrew, Christopher and Tyler. Leo was born September 13, 1915 in Webbwood, Ontario, son of Arthur and Eglantine (Gordon) St. Denis. Predeceased by siblings Sarto, Germaine Boucher, Arthur, Gaetanne Schraeder and Faye Lalonde. Survived by Fleurette Dault, Allette Morrisette (husband Tom), Raymonde (wife of Sarto) and Theresa (wife of Arthur). Leo was born and raised in Webbwood. He worked for the family, farming; the IGA before starting his own trucking company. He lived with Helen and their five children in Massey until they moved to North Bay in 1964. They lived there for 24 years, where he worked in construction. Leo and Helen moved to Sudbury in 1980, where they became members of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Leo was a member of the Knights of Columbus and C.R.L. Br. 76. Leo was a gifted man with many talents and diverse interests. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many hours on “Leo's Ridge“ with family and friends. He was an avid Sudbury Wolves fan, bowler, accomplished painter and devoted grandfather. Leo was a accomplished carpenter and cabinet maker, finishing his career as a teacher at Cambrian College, at the age of 74. Leo will always be remembered for his strong family values, work ethics and belief in God. Visitation was held at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church today (Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Massey. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Joseph's Villa Foundation would be appreciated
