Lennie Rae Jones Weeks - Sylvania - Mrs. Lennie Weeks, 78, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at her residence under hospice care. She was a native of Tyrell County in Kilkenny, NC and was a member of Sylvania First Baptist Church. She was retired from the post office, was on the Board of Directors of Screven County Farm Bureau and a member of the Assn. of Retired Federal Employees Chapter #1528. She was also a member of the Cooperville Farm Bureau and the Elizabeth Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gray Weeks; Grandson, Philip Lee Stewart; Brother, Carlton Jones. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon W. and Alan Stewart of Sylvania; one son, Richard A. Weeks of Faulkville; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Jean and George U. Forsen of St. Mary's; one brother, Dallas Rab Jones of St. Mary's; Two Grandchildren and Grandson-In-Law: Shannon Rae S. and Matt Ward of Sylvania and Anthony George Stewart of Sylvania; two great -grandchildren: Jackson Gray Ward and Emily Adriana Felice Ward of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Thursday, March 23, 2006, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Services: Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Wades Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dan Joyner officiating. Interment held at Wades Cemetery. Body to lie in state from 10:00 until 11:00 at the church. Pallbearers: Jim Edenfield, Vernon Waters, Chris Martin, A.W. Robinson III, B. H. Anderson Jr. and Ricky Scott.
