GODWIN Lena Mae Godwin, 71, passed away peacefully Friday, March 11, 2005 at The Earl B. Hadlow Hospice Center surrounded by her husband, children and friends. She is survived by her husband, Cleveland Godwin, whom she married on June 13, 1953. They were happily married for 52 years. She is also survived by her 4 children, daughters, Linda VanPelt (Allen) and Gale Boone (Robert) and sons, Paul Godwin (Debbie) and Keith Godwin (Carey); 13 grandchildren, Christopher, Wendy, Randall, Kristy, Kenny, Brandy, Sean, Brittany, Holly, Kimberly, Karen, Robert, and Keegan; 10 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Alex, Austin, Colton, Keanan, William, David, Alexia, Waytt, and Cameron; and sister, Donna Desrosiers. Known by many, Mae was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on November 1, 1933. While growing up, Mae was an active dancer and ballerina. After marrying Cleveland in 1953 they moved to Jacksonville where she raised her family. Mae was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and f riend. She was loved by all and will be truly missed. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 14, 2005 in the Chapel of HARDAGE-GIIDENS CHAPEL HILLS FUNERAL HOME, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM, Sunday (TODAY) at the Funeral Home.
