LENA L. WEST Of 5726 South Drive, Lake Worth passed away peacefully frompneumonia December 10, 2002. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, September 12, 1919, Lena moved to Lake Worth in 1956. A lifelong homemaker, she lived, worked, and played surrounded by the love of family. Lena is survived by her extended family in Knoxville and her immediate family in Lake Worth, her three children and spouses: Don West and Martha Morgan, Janet and Elivio Serrano, and John and Sheri Laufersweiler; her eight grandchildren and spouses: Marie Barrett, Nicole and Rick Martinez, Donald and Candace West, Matthew and Cindy West, Carlos and David Serrano, Todd and Ben Laufersweiler; and her thirteen great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Alex, Christoper, Savannah, Olivia, Madison, Tyler, Kylie, Mandy, Jessie, Rita, Joe, and Roy. She is also survived by many old friends in Knoxville and Lake Worth. Lena's kind ways, loving touch, generous heart, and gentle sense of humor will be greatly missed by family and friends; but, there is a peaceful relief in understanding that she was ready to join her husband, Earl, who died in 1994; and, in knowing that her wonderful spirit is released from the confines of her broken body. We will miss and love you always sweet mother, kind grandmother, and dear friend. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Palm Beach County, who made Lena's dying peaceful for her and her family. Services are private.
