Obituary of Lena-David Wilson


Mrs. Lena David Wilson, 91, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at UniHealth Post Acute Care in Rock Hill. The funeral service was held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Great Falls Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Anne Welch officiating. Interment followed in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Kingstree, S.C. and was a daughter of the late Jesse David and Pauline Foxworth David. She was a graduate of the Williamsburg County schools, a homemaker and a member of Great Falls Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one daughter, Margie Young and husband David of Great Falls; two sons, Carol Wilson and wife Geraldine of Great Falls and Harvey Wilson of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren, Krista Bradshaw, Scott Young, Darin, Bryant, Dean, Vince, Dennis and Brice Wilson and Keith Mankin; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stromer William Wilson; a son, David Nelson "Bubba" Wilson; two brothers, Lawrence David and Ray David; a daughter-in-law, Anita Carter Wilson; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Wilson. Memorials may be made to Great Falls Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 466, Great Falls, SC 29055; or to Greenlawn Cemetery, P.O. Box 191, Great Falls, SC 29055.
